ViSi Tip - Transporting Patient Off of a Unit

Care delivered during transport and at the site of diagnostic testing or procedure should be equivalent to the level of care provided in the originating environment. Here are some tips to make the monitoring of the patient while utilizing ViSi Mobile, seamless.

What is HCAHPS and How ViSi Impacts It

By introducing ViSi Mobile into your hospital, staff can not only impact patient safety, save the hospital money by reducing events such as pressure ulcers and unanticipated deaths, the incorporation of ViSi Mobile surveillance monitoring can also help improve nursing workflow and VBP reimbursement.

Improving Nursing Workflow with ViSi Mobile

ViSi Mobile is an extremely useful tool for not only providing continuous vital sign monitoring but also for improving nursing workflow.

ViSi Mobile is Comfortable (video)

The patient in this video shares his experience with ViSi Mobile on his wrist and thumb and describes how much more comfortable it is, reveling at how much more comfortable he feels just having his thumb free. It wirelessly monitors all of his vitals so that he can move more freely while continuously being monitored.

ViSi Mobile Allows Patient to Sleep Comfortably in Hospital

Patient, Anastasia Sant Augustine, shared her experience with ViSi Mobile at Palomar Medical Center where she was recovering after a car accident in San Diego, CA. She was able to sleep more comfortably because the system was able to monitor her vital signs wirelessly, and she was able to get the rest she needed to recover.

Discussion About the Use of ViSi Mobile at RadboudUMC

To detect a patient's timely deterioration, Radboudumc has been using ViSi Mobile, a continuous monitoring system developed by Sotera Wireless, Inc., for some time. Whereas previously the nurse measured the five vital signs of the patient at fixed times, this is now done 24/7 by a small box on the wrist. Recently, with the help of #machine #learning techniques, the decline is detected early or even predicted up to hours in advance. In addition to improved patient safety, this also saves time for the nurses. For Zorg Enablers 2020, we spoke to Harry van Goor and SJH (Bas) Bredie, initiators of the ViSi Mobile project, about the increasing demand for continuous monitoring and its added value for the healthcare providers and patient. We talked at length about the challenges and developments during the pilot and implementation phase and what the upscaling goals are for the future. Read the full floor in ViSi Mobile below!
